Tree Needs works across the Bass Coast, South Gippsland & Phillip Island and have extensive local knowledge of the plant and animal life in the area. We have also carried out highly-specialised jobs right across Australia: from jobs with interstate councils in NSW, historical oak trees on Tasmanian homesteads, native Victorian forests, and tropical trees in Queensland. Tree Needs is a professional tree services company owned and operated by Ringo Gannon, trusted within the industry and a qualified arborist with in-field experience of over 15 years.
Tree Needs takes a modern approach to tree management relying on our in-field experience to preserve healthy trees, remove dangerous ones and to leave the place better than when we arrived.
Ringo Gannon is a highly knowledgeable arborist, seed collector and tree care professional who has been running his business for over 15 years. He has a passion for plants, trees and animals and loves what he does for a living. Ringo is an AQF Level 5 Arborist, Member of Arboriculture Australia and ISA approved Arborist (International Society of Arborists).
Ringo's trade has taken him to homesteads in the southern parts of Tasmania maintaining heritage oak trees to the southern reaches of Queensland where he has worked on 500 year old brush box.
He enjoys the constant challenges and physical aspects of the job being an enthusiastic climber, also enjoying rock-climbing and bouldering when he gets the chance. Ringo also loves taking in the spectacular views at the top of a tree as it is an experience not many get to enjoy.
Ringo's intent as an arborist is not just the removal of trees but to retain existing and significant vegetation. Ringo is happy to offset any tree removal by replanting with applicable native trees. Ringo feels that all arborists should approach their work with the same integrity towards creating a greener future.
Ringo collects and germinates endemic and native seeds and if a client requests; an appropriate replacement tree can be provided on the day free of charge.
Ringo is a proud family man and most of all loves spending as much time as he can with his two children Indra & Makani.
