Habitat Creation

Tree Needs ecosystem management can help to design & build natural terrestrial and tree-hollow habitats for native birds, mammals and reptiles to use for their home or shelter. Our organic habitats are designed to integrate into the existing treescape. Arborist Reports

We are qualified to produce arborist reports for local council permits for the removal of trees and for building development applications – specialising in tree reports for the Bass Coast Shire Council. Tree Pruning

All trees require routine pruning to keep them healthy, safe and looking good. Tree Removal

Tree removal is generally the last choice Tree Needs arborists will make but often it is unavoidable. Trees that are diseased, storm damaged or an obstacle can be dangerous and a risk to the safety of people and their property. Stump Removal

We offer a stump grinding service to remove obstructive tree stumps from your property - giving you back extra space in your garden and clearing potentially hazardous root systems. Stump removal will bring life back to your garden by restoring valuable nutrients that are being lost to the stump and avoid potential cracks in structural walls and pavement. We will also mulch the stump grindings into nutrient-rich woodchips for your garden (and remove the excess waste).

Greater Glider Project - East Gippsland

Greening Australia

In partnership with Greening Australia & Landcare Victoria - Tree Needs arborists are helping to install 300 glider nest boxes in Eastern Victoria after the 2019-20 bushfires destroyed nearly 30% of the Greater Glider habitat. The nest boxes act as a substitute for tree hollows that that were damaged in the fires and are an important step to protect the Glider's diminishing population.
